Dr. David Hansen came to Immanuel Baptist Church in October of 1995, and he invites people to attend a unique, miracle ministry that God has perpetuated for over 90 years in the Roscommon area.  "God is at work in the lives of His people at Immanuel, and it is a privilege to serve God by serving the church He loves."  

 

 

These are  not just words - they are goals we can make a reality as we

follow Jesus Christ, love the brethren, and obey our Lord in all areas.

Immanuel Baptist Church's roots date back to 1919 where, about one mile from our present location, a group of Christians began  the "Swede-Finish Baptist Congregation" as a ministry to loggers in the area. The name was changed to "Gerrish Baptist Church" and eventually to "Immanuel Baptist Church." The church has had three locations, moving to our present property about 1980. The Lord's hand of blessing has been on IBC for these many years, keeping a "Gospel Light" aflame in the Roscommon and Higgins Lake areas.

The people of Immanuel Baptist Church have the distinct privilege of serving the Lord in our area through the many ministries of the church. We then enjoy the honor of serving God around the world through missions outreach. It is amazing to know that while we serve the Lord, we have the opportunity to spread the Gospel as well as enjoy the wonderful journey of living the abundant Christian life!
